Subbutegoals: Partick Thistle’s ghost goal vs Morton

When Kris Doolan’s shot crashed against the crossbar and in to the back of the net not many in the ground would guess what happened next.

The Morton defence blasted the ball away in anger and the Partick players wheeled off to celebrate – only for the referee and linesman to somehow decide the ball hadn’t crossed the line and award a throw in.

The bizarre decision has been the subject of much hilarity this week so we decided to get in on the action. We also decided to add Kingsley, the Partick Thistle mascot/nightmare-inducer in all his Subbuteo glory.

Take a look at the ghost goal video in our Subbutegoals series.

Oh, and thankfully Partick still won the game 1-0. Phew.
