The Subbuteo NHS advertising boards raising money for charity

You remember the green Subbuteo pitch side fences don’t you?

You’ve probably got hundreds of them, complete with brown fence posts, scattered through your Subbuteo collection.

In every box of fences four of them game with a flat panel for you to place adverts for Mars Bars, Esso and Subbuteo – but now one Subbuteo fan has designed some special advertisements that are being snapped up online.

Adrian Hollands, who took part in the early rounds of the Subbuteo Cup 2020, has designed special NHS advertising boards thanking workers for their heroic effort during the coronavirus outbreak.

As well as urging people to stay at home, the advertisements feature rainbows and support for the NHS.

Adrian is selling e-documents of the boards on eBay at £1 a time and is donating all proceeds to the NHS Charity.

He says: “As a thank you to our wonderful NHS during this difficult time, I have been busy producing these pitchside “advertisment boards” for you to show your appreciation of the risks they are going to whilst you are all staying safe at home playing your games of Subbuteo behind closed doors/

“Every single penny of the sale of these will go to the NHS.”

If you buy the advertisements you do not actually get the physical product. Instead you get a document emailed over with the adverts ready to print. They fit the boards exactly, so you just have to print them off and stick them on yourself.

You can buy them and donate the the charity here.
