Brilliant new Subbuteo FX-42 floodlights are the best on the market

Subbuteo is the greatest table top game to ever grace dining tables and carpets across the world but there has always been a problem; the floodlights sold for decades didn’t actually work very well.

Anybody of a certain age will remember the dull glow and fiddly set up of the original thin red floodlights in early sets, while white pylon floodlights that came later were not much better. Even the late 1980s ‘Greek style’ pillar lights barely lit up a pitch on a dark evening.

Thankfully Subbuteo 3D designer Ron Hogendijk, the man behind SubbuteoStadium.com, has been helping to gloriously light up Subbuteo pitches for several years now and his latest product could be the answer to your Subbuteo stadium dreams.

Ron has launched the stunning FX-42 Subbuteo floodlights and they are fantastic. The LED floodlights (the 42 refers to the number of LED lights within each floodlight) come with a number of brightness settings, USB charging and an hour of battery life on the top brightness level.

Designed to mimic the style of the classic pylon floodlights originally sold with Subbuteo sets, the FX-42 lights are priced at £70, which is cheaper than the previous generation F50 floodlights.

Here at Subbuteo.Online we have tried and tested the F50s. The ease of use, stunning design and superb brightness of the floodlights make these the industry leaders for Subbuteo stadium builders and players alike. That makes us very excited for the new FX-42s, which are set to be the best lights on the market by far.

The lights are available in white, grey and metallic designs. You can take a look a the new FX-42 lights here. You can see the lights in a dark room below.
