Harry Kane Dream Debut chase card: The new Match Attax Extra card’s staggering price

Match Attax Extra 2024 has arrived and fans are after one card in particular. After the clamour for last year’s ultra-rare Erling Haaland ‘Zen’ card, the latest new rare ‘chase’ card is a Harry Kane Dream Debut that can only be found in one in 500 packets.

The Match Attax Extra 2024 set comes with a number of rare cards including black edge, Hat Trick Hero and even autograph cards. However it is the Dream Debut card that has fans excited this year.

The rare card celebrates Kane’s Champions League debut for new side Bayern Munich. The former Spurs striker scored a penalty against Manchester United in a 4-3 victory. The card itself says it is ‘ultra-rare’ and the celebration card was posted by Topps as an example of one of the rarest cards in the set.

The Topps card celebrating the debut has been listed on Facebook Match Attax groups for over £100 and there are a number of versions of the card priced at well over £100 on auction website eBay.

The card is likely to continue to clock up big sales prices for some months. The Haaland Zen card, the sought-after card from last year’s Extra set, is still selling for close to £100 on eBay with a number of auctions currently sat on £50-£60 with some time left to bid.

The new Match Attax Extra cards launched in the UK in February.

A standard Starter Pack Bundle costs £33.99 and includes a Starter Pack, 10 packets of Match Attax Extra, an online exclusive Arda Güler Blue Limited Edition plus a bonus 5-card packet. The Starter Pack also includes 30 Match Attax Extra cards including Bukayo Saka and Rodri Limited Editions and another random Extreme Limited Edition card. It also comes with a Game Guide, Collector Binder with covers and an App reward card.

A full box of 36 packs is priced at £81 and a single packet costs £2.50. Each packet contains 12 cards.
