Longshore, the new Subbuteo license holder, has revealed big news on the future of the brand as the first sets arrive in the UK.
Subbuteo World in the UK has announced it is advising Subbuteo’s new license holder and there will be new teams, a Subbuteo VAR set and new fences for fans of the table top sport.
The UK-based shop also says a brand new Subbuteo website will be launched to coincide with the launch of the new Subbuteo sets.

In a statement on Facebook, Subbuteo World says: “The new 2020 England Subbuteo team. Now made under license by Longshore and distributed by University Games (was Paul Lamond).
“Eleven Force who were Subbuteo manufacturers no long have the licence. The licence is now held by Longshore. Longshore are very excited about the future of Subbuteo with plans underway to produce new products. Subbuteoworld are working with Longshore in an advisory capacity on new products.
“Subbuteoworld are also working with Longshore on the new Subbuteo website that will be coming soon. This month we will be receiving samples of new products including a new structure fence and referee set with VAR.”
The exciting plans are the first time the new owners of the Subbuteo brand have been named. The Hong Kong-based company is distributing the new game through University Games in the UK and we covered the sneak peek of the first sets earlier this year.
The announcement comes on the day the new England 2020 Subbuteo set finally has a launch date on Amazon, where 25 June is listed as the first chance to get the new set.
The news will be a popular one with players and collectors in the UK as Subbuteo World are the country’s biggest store and have vast knowledge of Subbuteo’s history.
