Subbuteo collections do not get more spectacular than this.
Andy Trasler shared images of his Subbuteo single players collection on Facebook and has kindly allowed us to showcase them here too.
Andy is aiming to collect one of every single Subbuteo team ever produced, from the early heavyweight figures to the lightweight and zombie examples. His amazing display currently features 2,100 individual players and makes for one of the most polished and well-presented Subbuteo collections in the world.
Northampton Town fan Andy says he tries not to take players from completed teams. He says: “I never try to decimate teams by pinching the odd player unless it’s the only way of completing the task. I try to buy individual players or job lots of odds.”
He is even trying to collect of the unique base combinations as part of his massive task to collect them all. With a nice number system it is an impressive sight – one that mirrors the popular team colour posters that so many collectors of Subbuteo love.
Individual Subbuteo players are quite easy to find, with sellers on eBay selling individuals and plenty of job lots with incomplete teams. After all, who hasn’t accidentally stood on a player or two when playing the beautiful game?
We love seeing Subbuteo collections and if you have some that you want to show us – no matter how big or small – please get in touch at subbuteoonline@gmail.com and we’ll gladly feature it.
