For sale: Collection of over 20 Subbuteo HW teams

A Subbuteo seller is looking to part with over 20 heavyweight teams – and he wants to sell it to somebody in the Subbuteo community.

It is rare to find such a comprehensive job lot outside of the frenzied auction room of eBay but one seller has contacted Subbuteo.Online to sell their collection.

The seller is based in Manchester and would prefer to sell face to face so those in the North West of England are in pole position to get their hands on what is an extensive collection of teams.

The seller says: ” There’s a bit of 50s stuff that was my dad’s and the rest is mid 70s to 1980s that I bought. All teams are “classic heavyweight” bar 1 “zombie” and the 2 50s celluloid teams. They’ve had number stickers applied. All are boxed (except the 50s ones) and in decent condition (some boxes a bit tatty and with a bit of writing on). There are 3 that were “spares” that I had a go at painting so appreciate that won’t have helped their value!”

Teams include a nice Norwich team, as well as AC Milan and a Leeds away side that should entice a few buyers.

Others include some 1950s celluloid figures – the original Subbuteo figures that can fetch up to £5 each on eBay for the rarer teams.

Wales’ famous striped kit is one of the more popular Subbuteo teams and it looks in good condition for any collector who does not have one in their collection.

The seller has asked for expressions of interest to subbuteoonline@gmail.com and we will pass on your details.

As ever, we are not directly selling this set and we do not know the seller personally. Always try to buy in person and if something seems too good to be true then it probably is.

Happy shopping!
