Messi’s last-minute winner immortalised in Topps card but fans have just hours to get ultra-rare Gold

Topps has released a limited edition collectable football card to celebrate Messi’s late equaliser in Inter Miami’s 1-1 MLS draw with LA Galaxy.

The Argentinian legend combined with former Barcelona teammate Jordi Alba with a succession of one-twos before slamming the ball home for a dramatic 92nd-minute equaliser in the club’s second league game of the season. The moment marked Messi’s first MLS goal of the season and secured the club’s fourth point in two games so far.

To celebrate Topps has launched a Messi Topps Now card commemorating the goal, which will be the ninth card in the MLS Topps Now UK range. The card is on sale for £8.99 for just a few more hours with final orders taking place at 9.30pm on 2 March – in time for Inter Miami’s next game against Orlando City.

The Messi Topps Now card

The Topps Now cards are a range that aims to celebrate key moments and print runs are determined by demand, meaning the cards could be as rare as a one off up to tens of thousands of versions. However, fans also have a chance to get rarer parallels of the Messi card including an ultra-rare one-off Gold card.

The least rare parallels are the black cards, with 99 available, followed by Blue (49), Purple (25), Red (10), Orange (5) and the singular gold card.
