New pitch, goals and teams set to be launched by Subbuteo World

The world’s best online Subbuteo shop has teased a host of exciting new Subbuteo accessories.

Subbuteo World has revealed it will have new professional-style metal goals in stock within the next week, along with an exciting new astropitch design.

The metal goals are similar to those used at tournaments and are sure to be popular with more serious players.

However, a new full size Pegasus Astro with a new chequered ‘grass’ design is probably going to be the most popular choice. It follows the standard Pegasus Astroturf, labelled the best Subbuteo pitch in the world, and a striking pitch with grass ‘circles’ launched last year.

The pitch will be available online at Subbuteo World shortly.

However, a third part of the announcement is set to excite fans even more. The full announcement says: “Back in stock the Professional Metal Goals. Coming in the next 7 days: The Pegasus Indoor Edition on 2 designs of pitch. Also the Pegasus full size AstroTurf with the new full chequered design pitch. Zeugo Grandstands, Corner stands, unpainted spectators and 22 new teams.”

The 22 new Subbuteo teams are likely to be limited edition painted teams sold exclusively by Subbuteo World. There is no indication what they will be but collectors will be sure to snap up the teams in the absence of any official new Subbuteo to collect.

The teams are likely to be Zeugo. Subbuteo World currently sells hand painted limited editions of modern teams including all of the Premier League teams from the 2019/20 season.

The exciting announcement comes as the Subbuteo World owners thanked customers for their support and confirmed they were still open for business.

A statement says: “Pete and Sandra Whitehead would like to thank all our customers for their support through these very difficult times. Together we will all get through this. We are being asked if Subbuteo World are still open and working through the Covid-19 pandemic. Yes we are.

“But most importantly stay safe, stay home and if you do have the time, play Subbuteo.”
