The Adidas Predator Elite Tongue 2024 are back in stock – but fans are not happy

The slow trickle of Adidas Predator Elite tongue boots in 2024 continues after boots seller Pro Direct Soccer announced blackout and traditional red, white and black soft ground versions are now in stock.

The boot seller announced both pairs today but warned shoppers stock is extremely limited as Adidas continues to slowly roll out the latest version of its iconic boots.

Fans were delighted last year when footballers including Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold were spotted in new Predator boots that featured the famous 90s folded over tongue for the first time in nearly a decade and there was an instant clamour from fans to get their hands on a pair.

Launched of limited edition purple boots sold out quickly, while blackout, white and the traditional red, white and black boots all sold out almost instantly when they arrived early in 2024.

Pro Direct Soccer today confirmed a small restock of the boots in adult and children’s sizes on the site, with prices starting from around £110 for children and £240 for adults.

However, fans have struggled to secure orders for the boots. Queues on the website were over an hour long when the blackout boots were announced and some fans are furious that orders for the previous restock were cancelled on Monday only to see boots reappear for sale on Friday.

One angry shopper said: “Thanks for cancelling my presale order for my 8 year olds boots at £110 due to “stock shortages”

Only to move size 3.5uk to the adults section for todays restock and try to sell me the same boots for £240.”

Other shoppers saw technical issues deny them. One said: “Pro Direct Soccer absolute joke !!!! Wait in queue, get to the front with visible stock of size required, select size and go to pay then it errors out.”
