Easter Monday means it is Subbuteo Cup 2020 3rd round time and it’s a chance to reach the quarter finals for 16 clubs left in the competition.
We have two Spanish, two German, two Scottish, eight English, one Argentinian and one Italian club left in the competition.
The matches will be played at 3pm on Monday 13 April, with the quarter finals and semi finals taking place next weekend.
Union Berlin vs Athletic Bilbao
The great entertainers of Union Berlin have beaten Norwich 3-2 and Chelsea on penalties after a 5-5 draw. Athletic Bilbao defeated Sampdoria 5-3 in the last round so expect goals here.
Jason Christopher previously played Wellington Phoenix’s win over Eastbourne in the third round and he’s back for this one..
Rangers vs Aston Villa
Rangers beat Brighton and Faroe Islands side B36 to set up a tie with Villa, who have knocked out Coventry and AC Milan.
Rob Adams take this one after previously playing Wycombe’s famous win over Arsenal in round three.
Borussia Monchengladbach vs West Ham
Borussia Monchengladbach have knocked out Swansea and Bristol Rovers to set up a tie with Premier League side West Ham, who have been victorious against Glentoran and Bradford to get this far.
This game will be played in Spain thanks to our Spanish player Chus.
Club Independiente vs West Brom
Club Independiente have quietly looked very strong in this tournament. In late games in both round they beat Guadalajara and Leicester. West Brom have beaten Liverpool and Leyton Orient to progress.
Joe is taking this one for his first game in the tournament.
Juventus vs Burnley
Juventus have beaten Fiorentina and Luton, while Burnley have beaten Partick Thistle and smashed Leeds 3-0 to be here.
This match goes to Wales, where Carwyn will take control of the match. He previously played Forfar vs Tranmere in the first round.
Wolves vs Wycombe Wanderers
Wolves beat Huddersfield to progress last time out, while Wycombe are the cup giant killers after dispatching Arsenal and Nottingham Forest.
Alan Gardner is taking this one.
Tranmere vs Sheffield Wednesday
An all English tie sees Tranmere take on Sheffield Wednesday. Tranmere have beaten Forfor and Wellington Phoenix, while Sheffield Wednesday have beaten Garstang and Sunderland on penalties.
Matt Briton makes his tournament debut for this one.
Racing De Santander vs Aberdeen
Two of the more interesting teams left in the tournament. Second division Spanish side Racing have beaten Eintracht Frankfurt and Newcastle, while Aberdeen have dispatched Manchester United and Parma.
The match is being played by Neil Smith in the impressive Smithfield Ground.
