Subbuteo teams usually sell for between £5 and £10 on sites like eBay, with rare teams often fetching more.
However, there is a way to get some superb Subbuteo teams for £4.41 per team.
A few months ago we managed to nab 16 Subbuteo La Leggenda teams for the price of just £30 from Spanish website We Are Games. The teams were as described and delivery was quick – although the order process was completely in Spanish.
The La Leggenda teams focus on classic club and international sides through the years from the likes of Colombia’s 1990 World Cup side to teams from as far back as the early 1900s.
While browsing through Amazon we discovered We Are Games is now selling the teams for £4.41 – but there is a catch.

Because of the cost of sending them from Spain the teams are called ‘add on items’. That means, to save on postage costs, they are only sent when you spend £20 or more.
That works out at £20 for five classic La Leggenda teams and the ones listed are certainly interesting. From Subbuteo legends Dukla Prague to South Korea’s World Cup semi-finalists, there are plenty of rare teams.
We’ve just ordered Italian side Casale 1913-14, Hungarian champions from 1995, Videoton, and Dinamo Tblisi from 1981 as part of a group of teams.
