The new Subbuteo box set is finally available to order and prices have been confirmed.
The England set, which features national team branding and a team in a generic England shirt, is on sale at Amazon with a listed price of £34.
On sale direct from the new manufacturers in Hong Kong, the set will take a couple of weeks to arrive given the current global climate but it will be a relief to fans of the game to see new sets being released.
The set, aimed at younger players, features a new thicker and higher quality pitch, goals, ball and new more durable players with individual hairstyles and boot colours.
It is the first new set to be released under new owner Longshore and distributed by University Games.
The original plan for launch was to coincide with the European Championships and included a second generic set featuring blue and red teams, as well as a TV advert featuring a grandparent finding a Subbuteo box set in his loft to play with his grandchildren.
We are still waiting for those but the launch of the England set is the first step for the new-look Subbuteo range.
