The best Subbuteo shop in the world is opening another location

If you are a regular reader of this blog you will know that our love for SubbuteoLab in Italy is a little bit over the top.

The world’s only dedicated bricks and mortar Subbuteo shop is a haven for all things Subbuteo, from classic teams and sets to modern trophies, teams, balls and merchandise. Run by Dany Mancuso, the first SubbuteoLab shop opened in Florence and is a regular at Italian collector fairs and toy events.

The store regularly shares incredible images of thousands of green boxes of Subbuteo and it seems stock is so extensive that a second store is set open in Turin.

SubbuteoLab posted a cryptic message to Facebook today (16 March) that says: “Tomorrow for the first time… We will take you to discover where the new SubbuteoLab will be born. Live we will show you the “skeleton” of what will be the new opening, which will be added to the Florence store.

“Smaller, bigger? Who knows…We couldn’t show you everything but a little preview, you can discover it, around lunchtime. Don’t miss out.”

SubbuteoLab – or the Old Subbuteo Shop as it is called – has been through an extensive period of growth. After opening in 2018 in Certaldo it later moved premises in Florence and the Turin store will be the second permanent location for the brand.

Subbuteo Lab has been a viral hit since it opened its doors. The stacks of teams – old and new, custom made metal trophies including the likes of the Europa League, and collections of balls, stands and accessories have captured the imagination of Subbuteo fans everywhere.

English Subbuteo fans will regularly travel to Italy to visit SubbuteoLab and it is a popular destination for fans of the game across Europe.

While England does not boast a dedicated Subbuteo shop it does have a couple of places that stock some Subbuteo products. They include Welling Collectables in London and Ty Pawb in Wrexham, which both stock old and custom Subbuteo.
